Psalm 117 is the shortest of all the psalms. Only two verses long, it gets right to the point: Praise God. Three times in two verses, the psalmist implores us: Praise!
Father, lead us to praise. To praise You for Your goodness and Your steadfast love. To praise You for who You are. Lead us to praise in times of difficulty and grief, and in times of ease and comfort. Father, we confess that we don’t always feel like praise, but in Jesus Christ, we know and trust that You enter into our lament as well as our praise. And… this is a cause for much praise! We praise You, our God who fills our praises and hears our cries.
May the week ahead be full of praise!

Praise the Lord, all you nations. Praise him, all you people of the earth.
For his unfailing love for us is powerful; the Lord’s faithfulness endures forever.
Praise the Lord!
