Lord, form our hearts in gratitude,
Remind us of all that You’ve done,
Bring to mind and heart the story of our lives from Your perspective!
Help us remember our neediness, just how truly low we once were,
Help us see clearly—just how good You have been to us!
Lord, we want to bless You with grateful hearts,
For even in Your discipline, we experience only love.
You turn tears of sadness into tears of joy
So we say “Thank You!”
Lord, keep us from getting all puffed up again,
Keep our heads from getting too big,
Help us re-call, re-tell, and re-state Your good grace,
Help us see clearly, so that our song is true,
Yes, Lord! In spirit and in truth, we worship You
